Serving society
While nearly 12% of global GDP is spent on health, the results in terms of improving the health status of populations often remain insufficient. This situation highlights the limitations of traditional approaches, which are too often compartmentalised within disciplinary silos.
The ASU-GHI is committed to rethinking knowledge production by adopting a resolutely interdisciplinary and participatory approach
By bringing together a variety of expertise – from biology and medicine to social, economic and digital sciences – the institute aims to produce integrated and operational knowledge. But this transformation does not stop at the academic sphere: it is also crucial to directly involve healthcare professionals and patients in the knowledge production process. This co-construction ensures greater acceptability and increased effectiveness of the proposed solutions.
By breaking down traditional barriers, the ASU-GHI transforms investments in health into concrete opportunities to rethink healthcare systems. In doing so, it works towards a more efficient use of resources and a tangible improvement in the quality of life of populations, placing the production and dissemination of knowledge at the heart of a collaborative and innovative approach.
