Timothy Van Zandt leads the health economics theme of the Institute of Global Health. He previously was the director of the Alliance Sorbonne University’s Health Economics Initiative. His current research most closely related to this theme is on reclassification risk in health insurance and the trade-offs in allowing flexibility in people’s choice of health insurance. He has been professor at INSEAD since 1999 and prior to that he began his career at Princeton University. He served as INSEAD's Dean of Faculty and Research from 2013 to 2017.
