2026 Call for ASU-GHI Doctoral Project Proposals

The Global Health Institute will select three new doctoral positions aligned with the Institute’s objectives and scientific priorities, with a view to recruitment for the 2026 academic year.

This call is open to research units of the Alliance Sorbonne Université.

Phase 1: Deadline for submission of doctoral project proposals: 20 February 2026.

About

This call is open to researchers of the Alliance Sorbonne Université wishing to submit an original doctoral research project that intersects at least one of the following thematic areas:

  1. Health & Environment
  2. Autonomy, Vulnerability, Ageing 
  3. Cancer
  4. Nutrition

in interaction with at least one of the following disciplines:

  1. Biomedical Humanities
  2. Health Economy
  3. Digital Health and Technology

 

Key Criteria :

  • Interdisciplinary project with joint supervision across two complementary fields
  • Start possible as early as 2026, for a duration of three years
  • Strong societal dimension and high potential impact in global health
  • Link with an international partner university (recommended)

Your project proposals (PhD topic, supervisors, and doctoral school) must be submitted by 20 February 2026 (midnight) via the online application form:

Calendar

  • 12 January – 20 February 2026: Submission of doctoral project proposals by project leaders via LimeSurvey
    27 February – 16 March 2026: Project selection phase
    25 March 2026: Publication of the selected projects
    25 March – 24 April 2026: Candidates must contact the project leaders before submitting their application file on the dedicated platform. Applications are then submitted via LimeSurvey.
    6 – 26 May 2026: Candidate interviews
    28 May 2026: Publication of the list of successful candidates
