Health & Environment

The “Health & Environment” research axis places prevention at the heart of healthcare in response to the exposures and disruptions that shape our future vulnerabilities.

Why the Health & Environment axis?

Our health is shaped daily through the accumulation of environmental exposures we encounter throughout our lives. Pollution, climate change, microplastics, nutrition, and stress are now among the leading modifiable drivers of the nexus between communicable and non-communicable diseases.

At the ASU-GHI, this research area examines these interactions in order to identify effective prevention strategies and accelerate the transition toward a truly preventive, personalized, and sustainable model of medicine.
