Raphaël Canonne

Biography
Raphaël Canonne is a sixth-year medical student at Sorbonne University with a passion for global health and international advocacy. He has helped promote the Institute of Global Health among Sorbonne University students and represented the Institute at the 2025 World Health Assembly.
During his studies, he held several positions in associations, including the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA), where he worked at the intersection of medicine, public policy and advocacy to represent the voice of medical students worldwide in global health forums. Raphaël also participated in the development of the French Youth Delegates for Health programme, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, and previously served as French Youth Delegate at the 77th World Health Assembly.
Since the end of 2025, he has been appointed French Youth Delegate to Y20, the official youth summit of the G20, selected by the Open Diplomacy Institute. In this role, he is particularly responsible for global health and nutrition issues, helping to bring the voice of French youth to the development of international policy recommendations.
His commitment aims to advance health diplomacy, strengthen youth participation in global health governance and support the emergence of the next generation of global health leaders.
