Europe Blanckart recruited as Research Project Officer at the Student Health Department of Sorbonne University
As part of the project aimed at improving HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccination coverage among the student population of Sorbonne University, Europe Blanckart has been recruited as Research Project Officer within the Student Health Department (SSE). She will carry out her duties under the supervision of Dr Françoise Guillo, Director of the SSE and Deputy Director of the ASU-GHI.
This recruitment is part of the operational and scientific deployment of the IMPACT-HPV project, jointly led by the SSE, the ASU-GHI, and the academic and institutional partners involved in this public health initiative.
The ASU-GHI welcomes this recruitment, which strengthens the project’s coordination, research, and scientific dissemination capacities. This position corresponds to the recruitment of a dedicated project manager for the first participatory research project in global health targeting the student community of Sorbonne University.
A synergistic project combining research, prevention, and public health, supported by ASU-GHI
The IMPACT-HPV project is a synergistic initiative combining research, prevention, and field-based action, with the objective of significantly improving HPV vaccination coverage among students.
It is based on the combined expertise of GEMASS, the OBEPINE network, and the SSE, structured around a systemic global health approach, and integrates:
- interdisciplinary research in public health, epidemiology, and social sciences
- prevention and awareness-raising actions within the university setting
- innovative analysis of HPV circulation, notably through wastewater surveillance on campus
- the implementation of vaccination initiatives targeting the student community
This articulation between environmental research, public health, and preventive action constitutes a major lever for developing innovative approaches to HPV infection prevention.
Profile and role of Europe Blanckart
Europe Blanckart is a graduate of Université Paris-Saclay and the Institut Pasteur. She has developed experience in applied research through several internships, notably within the OBEPINE network, where she contributed to work in environmental epidemiology and wastewater surveillance. She previously obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Sorbonne University, providing her with a strong understanding of the institutional and scientific environment in which the IMPACT-HPV project operates.
In her role, she will play a central part in coordinating and facilitating the project, helping to bring together the various stakeholders, structure transdisciplinary actions, and support the identification of funding opportunities necessary for its deployment.
Her mission is key to the effective implementation of this programme, whose ambition relies on a close integration of research, prevention, and health action for the direct benefit of students.
